Tolerance (Or The Lack Thereof)

By Gary On June 18, 2009 Under Uncategorized

Tolerance…A very simple concept, yet seldom achieved. It can be said that all things bad can be attributed to the lack of tolerance. This of course excludes natural disasters and acts of God, but all of mankind’s inflicted perils are due to a lack of tolerance.

Consider this; all wars are fought over the lack of tolerance or understanding of the other side. Religious beliefs, land disputes and power struggles are but a few of the examples I refer to. The inability to understand and recognize the other side’s point of view is the basis of conflict. In some cases it is the lack of recognition of another’s right to exist. How can anyone justify this outlook?

Divorce and the breakdown of family life can be attributed to lack of tolerance. Jealously for another’s worldly possessions employ thievery as the answer, he has more than I so I shall take from him. Life on the streets takes this to the ultimate level. Kids dying to claim the so called territory of another.

We are all put here on earth for a reason. I am quite aware that this may sound quite cliché but I feel the need to open this discussion to gain a perspective as to why this may occur. Do you really feel that you are better than I? Are you set of core beliefs better than mine? I tend to think not. But this has gone on for centuries and most likely will continue.

The fact is that if any civilization has made it this far, then they must have done something right. We can all learn from that. All have positive and negative aspects that can be shared for the gain of all. I am not the first to ask this question and hopefully I will not be the last.

But I can promise one thing. That is the fact that I will continue to ask the question. Day in and day out until I have the answer. This may be a life long quest to find the answer, but if I do, what a wonderful day that will be.

I did post about MJ. Thanks for asking about that. I did not include any remarks concerning any of the stories about the reason for his death.

This will go on for years. The finger pointing and acusations will continue as all of the leaches will crawl from under the woodwork in search of a buck and recognition.

I simply stated my admiration and respect for the man. He recieved alot of bad press over the years and now he can rest.

I agree that the lack of tolerance is the center of allot of conflict, but don’t mistake the lack of tolerance as one of the centered reasons for fighting most wars.

Most wars are really a struggle for resources or greed disquised with other emotional reasons to con the average non-thinking Joe into going and fighting the battle “many times for the glory of you know who “GOD.”" We did not fight the first world war because of the lack of tolerance, we fought it to help the Rothchilds and Rothsteins preserve their interests in Europe.
The British promised the chosen people a land of their own and suckered American into the war “as usual” with the help of some authentic American born traitors. But this discussion if for another blog. The purpose is to show that intolerance is not the true reason we fight most wars.

I could go on and on about different wars and why we really fought them but I want to bring the discussion back to the subject of intolerance. I simply wanted to bring it to the forefront that intolerance is not the real reason we fight wars but a superficial “first level analysis” the creates the emotional stage to lead the sheep to slaughter.

Intolerance is the reason that most people don’t grow past their immediate experiences. Intolerance closes the doors to learn and expand ones own concepts of interpretations of our surroundings. But in the same token a certain level of intolerance is good to preserve the health and wellbeing of the tribe in general.

Should we tolerate rapists, murder’s, pedaphiles, traitors, political liers, and lawyers and judges that twist right into wrong and wrong into right for their own perversions and wellbeing? I think this is where we have gone wrong in America. In my opinion if a clock is broken, get rid of it. Why warehouse them for years and spend trillions of dollars to incarcerate them. I say get rid of them. Put them on a boat and send them to Cuba and maybe sink the boat for target practice. Just kidding, why waste a perfectly good boat.

So to summarize. I don’t think that intolerance is the basis for all wars. I do think that the lack of tolerance in some circumstances stunts our growth, and I do think that a certain level of intolerance is good for the health and wellbing of the tribe.

Intolerance is not the brush stroke root cause for all of our problems. A brush stoke root cause for most problems would be the self inflicted disease known as religion.
